1. Định nghĩa Would prefer
- Would prefer hay còn thường được viết tắt là (‘d prefer) thường được sử dụng để diễn tả việc thích cái gì hơn, làm gì hơn (preference) ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.
Ví dụ:
- I’d prefer to ride my bike rather than take the bus.
(Tôi thích đạp xe hơn là bắt xe buýt).
2. Cách dùng và cấu trúc Would prefer
Dưới đây là một số cách sử dụng cũng như cấu trúc của Would prefer:
2.1 Được sử dụng để nói về sự ưa thích, lựa chọn của một người trong một trường hợp cụ thể (VD: khi được hỏi, khi được mời)

3. Một số lỗi thường gặp với Would prefer
3.1 Nhầm lẫn giữa “rather than” và “than”
Nhiều bạn có thường bị nhầm giữa “rather than” và “than”. Tuy nhiên các bạn cần lưu ý rằng từ “than” thì sẽ thường được sử dụng trong so sánh hơn, trong khi đó, với cấu trúc would prefer, khi được sử dụng để thể hiện muốn làm cái này hơn cái kia, ta sẽ dùng “rather than” hoặc “to”.
3.2 Nhầm lẫn giữa would rather và would prefer/sooner
