Firstly, they want to do something to make the community better, others do volunteer work because it teaches them a lot of soft skills such as team work, leadership, patience. In addition, volunteering helps to connect you to others and facilitate to widen your relationships.
I would love to work as a volunteer for an organization related to environment. I feel that it is necessary to raise people’s awareness of protecting our green planet. The activities I like are planting more trees and cleaning up lakes and rivers.
Situations which affect a larger group of people need volunteer work. For example, when an Earthquake happens, there will be a lot of people being died or homeless. It is such a massive destruction that requires help from the entire planet.
I can benefit from volunteer a lot. It increases my social and relationship skills. It also helps me make more friends, and in some way be more connected with the society. Moreover, volunteering is the way to reduce stress. It brings fun and fulfillment to my life.
